In 2025, Football West introduced a new competition format, club criteria, and development pathways for all junior teams. This included the implementation of a uniform Junior Development League (JDL) for both Junior Boys’ and Girls’ U13–U16 competitions. For boys, this change replaced the existing Junior NPL structure.
JDL
The Junior Development League (JDL) is the highest level of junior football in Western Australia, and Subiaco AFC is proud to be part of this prestigious competition. Trials are conducted for selection into our JDL teams. We encourage players with the skill, passion, and commitment to perform in a highly competitive environment to participate in these trials.
JCL
Our Junior Community Leagues (JCL) form the foundation of all our teams. These leagues encourage players to develop a love for the game, learn new skills, build friendships, and most importantly have fun.
