Subiaco AFC is proud to announce our 2027 NPLW coaching appointments.
Our NPLW 21s will be led by Scott Morgan and Betim Ziba, while Stewart Turnbull returns to lead our NPLW/JDL U18s.
NPLW 21 | SCOTT MORGAN
Scott brings more than 10 years of coaching experience, beginning his coaching career in athletics before making the move into girls’ football.
With a Level 3 athletics coaching qualification specialising in sprint development and speed performance, Scott has built a strong foundation in athletic performance and player development. He has since completed his Football Australia C Diploma and is registered to undertake his B Diploma.
Scott has progressed through the coaching ranks at Subiaco AFC and was Head Coach of our NPLW 21s last season.
His focus is on developing technically capable, physically prepared and mentally resilient players, while creating clear pathways for young female footballers into senior football. A highlight of last season was seeing seven of Scott’s players selected for the First Team, with many going on to make regular appearances.
NPLW 21 | BETIM ZIBA
Betim is currently completing his Football Australia B Licence and brings extensive experience across senior, development and futsal football.
He has enjoyed success in the women’s game, winning Division 1 titles with both Hamersley Rovers and Sorrento FC, before helping guide Sorrento to promotion to the NPLW in 2025. Betim was also recognised by Football West as Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2025.
A passionate and driven coach, Betim places a strong emphasis on player development, high standards and creating a positive team culture.
His goal is to provide an environment where players enjoy their football, are challenged to improve, have opportunities to learn and develop, and are supported on their pathway towards senior football.
NPLW/JDL U18 | STEWART TURNBULL
We’re pleased to announce that Stewart Turnbull will return as our NPLW Pathway U18 Head Coach for 2027.
Holding his FFA/AFC B Diploma, Stew has coached at Subiaco AFC for six years across our Girls Academy, MiniRoos and Juniors programs, including the U18 girls in 2025.
Most recently, Stew led our U15 Girls JDL Academy, a group he has coached for four years.
During that time, he helped develop the team into back-to-back league and cup double champions.
Stew will continue his strong commitment to developing our young female players and strengthening the pathway into NPLW football.
