Female Players

Football West have announced the following Girls Leagues for the season:

  • 8s Girls MiniRoos
  • 10s Girls MiniRoos
  • 12s Girls MiniRoos
  • 13s Girls Juniors
  • 14s Girls Juniors
  • 16s Girls Juniors
  • 17s Girls Juniors

Subiaco AFC will endeavour to field teams in each of the above Girls Leagues, dependent on sufficient player numbers.

There are a number of options for female players to play football at Subi.

The following information is provided to enable females to decide which team they would like to play in.
Once you have decided which league and age group you would like to play in, please contact the relevant Age Group Coordinator.

Girls League

Female players may choose to play in a girls team commensurate with their age.
For example, girls born in 2006 or 2007 can play in the Girls 16s Team.
The Girls 10s team will be made up of girls born in 2013 or 2014.
The Girls 12s team will be made up of girls born in 2011 and 2012.
The Girls 13’s team will be made up of girls born in 2010.

Junior

 

 

League

Female players may choose to play in age in any boys’ age group.
For example, a girl born in 2006 may play in the Junior 16s age group with boys born in 2006.
OR
Female players are eligible to play one year down in any boys’ age group.
For example, a girl born in 2005 may play in the Boys 16s age group with boys born in 2006.

Notes:

1. Girls playing in the boys league must attend the relevant boys grading sessions and will be allocated to a team as assessed by Club grading staff.
2. Girls should liaise with the relevant Age Group Coordinator to advise of their playing intentions.
3. Grading of female players wishing to play in a girls only team will be done in February according to the Grading Schedule.
4. If there are insufficient registrations in a particular age group to form a team, the Club will work with individuals to offer them an alternative place.
