Subiaco AFC is pleased to announce the appointment of Goran Stajić as our Men’s State League Head Coach.

Goran brings coaching experience at the highest level in WA, having previously coached in the NPL with Balcatta and Rockingham. He has also coached Junior NPL with Perth Glory, and this experience developing young talent will be an important factor in helping our talented young players make the transition to senior football.
On his appointment, Goran Stajić says: “A club like Subiaco AFC requires a lot of dedication and hard work to develop the young players that we have at our disposal. My aim is to present ourselves in the State League as a young, experienced and ambitious team, capable of dealing with the best in our competition. One major factor that attracted me to the club is the reputation it has built over the last few years developing players under the tutelage of J&J Football Training. My colleagues and football friends Adi Juric and Branko Jelic have created something special here, and I feel privileged to now come in as the Head Coach of the Senior Team. I want to continue on the path and course they have built in the junior and youth teams with my focus to upgrade and implement it into the Senior Team. In the conversations I’ve had with Adi, Branko and the President, we agree that Subiaco should be a club that develops and embraces its young players, but one that also wants good results through experience and a recognisable style of play. We want to be defined by discipline both on and off the field and through good performances to attract our supporter base to the ground where we can show our quality.”
Club President, Drew Palmer is excited about the opportunity this appointment brings for the club: “Goran shares the vision that the committee and I have for this club and has the skills and experience to create the environment that will enable our young playing group to excel”.
